This Privacy Policy describes how Jamie Wilson Productions Limited registered in England and Wales with company number 06491823 with its registered address at 1 Gemini Court, 42a Throwley Way, Sutton, Surrey SM1 4AF (referred to in this privacy policy as “we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, share, discloses or otherwise processes your personal data when you visit our websites (the "Sites") or otherwise communicate with us (collectively, the "Services"). It also provides information about your data protection rights.
We are the data controller and we are responsible for your personal data. We have appointed a data protection officer (DPO) who is responsible for overseeing questions in relation to this privacy policy. If you have any questions about this privacy policy, including any requests to exercise your legal rights (se below) please contact us using the information set out in the contact details section at the bottom of this document.
The policy does not apply to your ticket purchases or your visit to the theatres where the shows are performing which are covered under the relevant ticket agent’s or theatre’s privacy policy. The Sites may contain links to other websites, plug-ins and applications. Please note that we have no control over how your data is collected, stored, or used by other websites and are not responsible for their privacy statements. We advise you to check the privacy policies of any such websites before providing any data to them.
This website is not intended for children and we do not knowingly collect data relating to children.
How We Collect Your Personal Data
Personal data means any information about an individual from which that person can be identified.
We collect your personal data in two main ways:
(1) When you give it to us directly
We collect contact information, biographical details and other personal data about you when you provide it to us. For example, when you when you create an account, sign up to a newsletter or enter a competition run by us, correspond with us by email, social media or otherwise, give us feedback or participate in research we carry out via online surveys.
(2) When our systems collect information or personal data as you use our Sites
Whenever you use the Sites, we automatically collect certain information about your interaction with the Services ("Usage Data"). To do this, we may use cookies, pixels and similar technologies ("Cookies"). We may also receive personal data about you if you visit other websites employing our Cookies. What Personal Data We Collect
We only collect the information that’s necessary to carry on our business, provide the particular product or service you’ve requested and to keep you informed. There are occasions when you can choose not to give us certain information, but this may mean that we cannot provide you with certain products or services and that our communications are less relevant and personalised. For example, you may not hear about an event that we think would appeal to you.
Information We Collect Directly from You
We may collect, store and use the following kinds of personal data:

Information We Collect through Cookies

We also collect, use and share aggregated data such as statistical or demographic data which is not personal data as it does not directly (or indirectly) reveal your identity. For example, we may aggregate individuals' Usage Data to calculate the percentage of users accessing a specific website feature in order to analyse general trends in how users are interacting with our website to help improve the website and our service offering.
How We Use Your Personal Data and Legal Bases For These Uses
The main reasons we collect information are to provide a service you have requested, to keep you up to date with news about our productions and events, to personalise your communications, or to contact you if we need to obtain or provide additional information (e.g. cast changes). The information we collect about our audiences also helps us understand how we can best meet their needs.
The specific purposes for which we may process information, and the lawful basis on which we do so in each case, are set out below.
With Your Consent
To send you marketing communications: where required, we will ask your permission if we want to deliver direct marketing to you. We will use your personal data to keep you up-to-date with news, offers, events, products and information about our productions.
Opting Out
You can stop receiving these emails at any time by clicking on the unsubscribe link which we will include in each email or by contacting us by email on [email protected]. You may still receive service-related communications that are essential for administrative or customer service purposes for example relating to order confirmations, updates to our Terms and Conditions, checking that your contact details are correct.
Place Cookies and similar technologies: in accordance with the information provided in our Cookie Notice and the information provided to you when those technologies are used.
We rely on consent only where we have obtained your active agreement to use your personal data for a specified purpose.
Legitimate Interests
We may use your personal data where there is a legitimate reason to do so, such as where it where it is necessary to conduct our business and pursue our legitimate interests or to facilitate a benefit to you or someone else.
Our legitimate interests in processing personal data include:
- to develop, deliver and maintain relevant and engaging productions, services and advertising;
- understanding when our audiences engage with us;
- to build a clearer understanding of who our audiences are in order to better serve them;
- to carry on the business of a commercial organisation.
We only rely on legitimate interests where we consider and balance any potential impact on you and your rights (positive and negative), how intrusive it is from a privacy perspective and your rights under data protection laws against our (or others’) interests in us using your information in this way. We do not use your personal data for activities where our interests are overridden by the impact on you (unless we have your consent or are otherwise required or permitted to by law).
We rely on these legitimate interests to:
Manage complaints: including requests and concerns that you may have about products or services we provide.
Personalise your experience (to present you with the right kinds of products and services). We will use your personal data to:
- help us target our marketing communications so that they’re more relevant to you.
- keep track of your interests and preferences so that we can contact you with information that is relevant to you.
- tailor the advertising you see on websites, apps, social media and advanced TV, and to measure its effectiveness. This may be via Social Plugins (e.g. Like and Share buttons) or by providing the 3rd party platform with a list of email addresses which they use to target individuals with, or exclude them from seeing, our advertisements.
- help make the experience of using our Sites better and to personalise the service you receive from us – this means we will remember your previous visits and track the pages on our Sites that you visit.

Please not that if you opt-out of targeted advertising, you may not see fewer ads, but they will be less relevant to your interests. If you opt out of personalisation, you will still receive emails from us if you have requested to do so but these will be less targeted to you.
Conduct research (to improve our products, services and customer service). We will use your personal data to:
- classify our audiences into groups or segments - we may use the information we hold about you, including how you engage with our products and services, as well as from other sources, to segment our audiences into groups with particular attributes (likes/dislikes/reading behaviours etc). This helps us personalise your experience and show you more relevant content and adverts;
- measure and understand how our audiences respond to a variety of marketing activity so we can ensure our activity is well targeted, relevant and effective;
- undertake audience research via surveys. Some of these may be carried out my market research agencies working for us. Participation in these is entirely voluntary, so you can choose whether or not to disclose any information requested. We will make it clear whether your response to surveys is anonymous or not and, should you provide any further information, we will inform you how it will be used;
- analyse and continually improve the services we offer, including our productions, our Sites and our other products;
- help us run the test versions of our Sites that we use internally to pilot new features and ensure the smooth running or our web services; and
- help diagnose and manage our Sites.
Prevent fraud: We may use your information to check your identity in relation to requests you make. We may also have a legal obligation requiring us to carry out this activity.
Legal obligation
We have a basis to use your personal data where we need to do so to comply with one of our legal or regulatory obligations. For example, in some cases we may need to share your information with regulators such as the Information Commissioner or to use information we collect about you for due diligence or comply with court orders.
Performance of a contract / take steps at your request to prepare for entry into a contract
We have a basis to use your personal data where we are entering into a contract with you or performing our obligations under that contract and manage our relationship with you. Examples of this would be if you are buying something from us (for instance some branded merchandise) or entering a prize draw.
Sharing Your Personal Data
We may pass your personal data to:
- our processors – companies that we use to provide services on our behalf including for delivering our marketing and media buying, facilitating sending out our email marketing communications, conduct surveys and hosting our Sites. These processors can only use your information in accordance with our instructions and for no other purpose;
- Social media sites and advertising networks that may require certain aggregated data to select and serve relevant adverts to you and others;
- Analytics and search engine providers that assist us in improvement and optimisation of our Sites;
- Third parties to whom we may choose to sell, transfer or merge parts of our business or our assets. Alternatively, we may seek to acquire other businesses or merge with them. If a change happens to our business, then the new owners may use your personal data in the same way as set out in this privacy policy
In some limited circumstances, we may be legally required to share certain personal data, which might include yours, if we are involved in legal proceedings or complying with legal obligations, a court order, the instructions of a government authority, or to prevent fraud and protect the security of our site.
We require all third parties to respect the security of your personal data and to treat it in accordance with the law.
We will get your express consent before we share your personal data with any third party for their own direct marketing purposes.

Your Rights and Choices
Under UK data protection law, you have rights over personal data that we hold about you. We’ve summarised these below:
- Right to Access / Know.You have a right to request access to personal data that we hold about you (commonly known as a “subject access request”), including details relating to the ways in which we use and share your information.
- Right to Delete.You may ask us to delete some or all of your personal data and in certain cases, and subject to certain exceptions, you have the right for this to be done. You can ask us to delete or remove personal data where there is no good reason for us continuing to process it. You also have the right to ask us to delete or remove your personal data where you have successfully exercised your right to object to processing (see below), where we may have processed your information unlawfully or where we are required to erase your personal data to comply with local law. Note, however, that we may not always be able to comply with your request of erasure for specific legal reasons. If we are unable to delete your information, we will explain why this is the case.
- Right to Correct.You have a right to request that we correct inaccurate personal data we maintain about you though we may need to verify the accuracy of the new data you provide to us.
- Right of Portability.You may have a right to receive a copy of the personal data we hold about you and to request that we transfer it to a third party, in certain circumstances and with certain exceptions. Note that this right only applies to automated information which you initially provided consent for us to use or where we used the information to perform a contract with you.
- Restriction of Processing:You may have the right to ask us to stop or restrict our processing of your personal data. This enables you to ask us to suspend the processing of your personal data in one of the following scenarios:
- If you want us to establish the data's accuracy;
- Where our use of the data is unlawful but you do not want us to erase it;
- Where you need us to hold the data even if we no longer require it as you need it to establish, exercise or defend legal claims; or
- You have objected to our use of your data but we need to verify whether we have overriding legitimate grounds to use it.
- Right to object to the use of your personal data You may also object to the processing of your personal data where we are relying on a legitimate interest (or those of a third party) as the legal basis for that particular use of your data (including carrying out profiling based on our legitimate interests). In some cases, we may demonstrate that we have compelling legitimate grounds to process your information which override your right to object.
- Right to withdraw consent Note that this right applies where we are relying on consent to process your personal data. However, this will not affect the lawfulness of any processing carried out before you withdraw your consent. If you withdraw your consent, we may not be able to provide certain products or services to you. We will advise you if this is the case at the time you withdraw your consent.
- Right to object to marketing You have the absolute right to object any time to the processing of your personal data for direct marketing purposes. Please see “Opting Out” above.

No fee usually required
You will not have to pay a fee to access your personal data (or to exercise any of the other rights). However, we may charge a reasonable fee if your request is clearly unfounded, repetitive or excessive. Alternatively, we could refuse to comply with your request in these circumstances.
WHAT WE MAY NEED FROM YOU
We may need to request specific information from you to help us confirm your identity and ensure your right to access your personal data (or to exercise any of your other rights). This is a security measure to ensure that personal data is not disclosed to any person who has no right to receive it. We may also contact you to ask you for further information in relation to your request to speed up our response.
TIME LIMIT TO RESPOND
We try to respond to all legitimate requests within one month. Occasionally it could take us longer than a month if your request is particularly complex or you have made a number of requests. In this case, we will notify you and keep you updated.
